I did get one right from US distributer, only because they knew the vets did not have it yet , or most don't.
So far so good, he did not even try to get it off his head like he does with doggles. I will try and see how he is in back yard tommorow walking around independantly. Today I just took him for a walk with it on.
If you need one right now this company will sell it to you directly in US : http://www.aventix.ca/Ophtho.htm It cost me $35 plus $20 shipping. So 55 bucks total.

So happy to hear that you were able to get one.. and that it's working out well so far! If it's more comfortable that the e-collar for the dog, the extra cost seems well worth it!

Re: Optivizor for sale

Postby Lindalee on Sat Dec 05, 2009 8:24 pm

I would like to sell our optivizor because I see no point in using it for Beau now. he has no sight at all and just bangs around outside in yard , my plan was to let him loose but he needs me to walk him around on leash all the time when out. It's a great product and think it would be better suited for a dog that has some sight left your trying to protect , or a dog that has surgery and needs protection. It's size large , good for a 80 ~90 pound dog maybe more or less. My dog is a large golden at 82 IBS, it has adjustments. I paid 55 total and would like to sell fro $30 plus ship. I have no idea where to post this. gambler418@hotmail.com is my email

So sorry to hear that this didn't work out better for Beau. It does look like a great alternative to the "regular" e-collar for a dog that's had surgery etc. so I hope it will be a good purchase at least for that purpose... the pups all seem to hate the regular e-collars so much!

Wow, these look amazing. Quite expensive, but MORE than worth it, especially following removal. Reva hated the vet collar, and I worried the whole time, as it didn't actually protect her [no]eye.
I run a petshop, and although we can't yet get these, I will definitely recomend them to any customer facing eye surgery.
Thanks for that.
If I wanted to hear the pitter patter of tiny feet, I'd put boots on my dogs! ♥

My boy Tonka has one, I got it from his Optho. We were using it in the rain as well since Tonka hated the rain on his head and one of the buckles rusted a little. I went on line and sent an email to the company and Tasi (the inventor) himself called me from Austrailia - talk about customer service. Really great guy. Tonka doesn't wear it all the time but on play dates with some of his more aggressive wrestling friends so his eyes stay safe.
